Congratulations.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1833907669377506399.post-82626514295640973912007-07-19T12:20:00.000-07:002007-07-19T12:20:00.000-07:00I assumed that there are intelligent, educated peo...I assumed that there are intelligent, educated people who think GWB is doing a great job as president, but I just don't have any contact with any of them. That burns me up inside. I'm sure it would be a different story if I lived in Utah, where a lot of thoughtful people have a highly developed ability to perform mental gymnastics.

Dennis Miller is a sharp guy, but his reasoning if often sketchy. In an interview with Jon Stewart, he justified his ardent support for the war by basically saying that after 9/11, we had to do SOMETHING -- we couldn't just sit back and let that kind of thing happen without starting a war. I agree, but I think it would have been much smarter to invade Poland.Bobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10529044668868964131noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1833907669377506399.post-69547216928315855512007-07-19T11:01:00.000-07:002007-07-19T11:01:00.000-07:00My dad loves W. I don't live with them any longer, thank heavens.

Anyway, he has a Masters degree. He is an intelligent man. Like dug's mom, he has no blog, just endless love for the Bush family. If he did, though, he'd love to argue with you on it. Oh yes.

Re: your story - that's why I love message boards. They bring out the most rational sides of people. I was on one once, discussing a story that related to a crime in Portugal. One of my adversaries said it was no wonder this crime occurred, given the dangerous criminal minds in South America. That's when I knew it was getting fun.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1833907669377506399.post-9190019135071670232007-07-19T10:08:00.000-07:002007-07-19T10:08:00.000-07:00i asked my mom the other day if even she was final...i asked my mom the other day if even she was finally tired of GWB. she astounded me by saying "no, i still like him, he's doing fine." my mom has an advanced degree in english literature, which arguably makes her educated. ill-informed, maybe, but educated. unfortunately, she has no blog for you to read.

i think dennis miller is sticking with GWB. the justification i think i heard him give on Leno was "the only thing i can go by is we haven't been attacked on our own soil since 9/11."

dennis miller's funny factor just went down a bit. also, i don't know if he's educated.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1833907669377506399.post-69252430326145623822007-07-18T17:35:00.000-07:002007-07-18T17:35:00.000-07:00Honestly, I don't know a single well-educated pers...Honestly, I don't know a single well-educated person who thinks GWB is doing a great job. There are paid pundits, of course, and Republican apologists. If you're aware of a well-educated person who thinks GWB is doing a great job, please send me a link. I'll be a devoted reader.

Wendy and I talked about a way for me to ride the STP on the ebike, but we just couldn't work out the logistics. When people buzz me on my bike, I chase them down and yell at them, but then when I'm driving, I make sure to buzz a cyclist or two.

BTW great job riding the whole STP, that's impressive, unless you used the ebike. Then it's REALLY impressive!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
